ASG NEiTA

ASG’s National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEiTA) Foundation was established in 1994 to honour exemplary teaching throughout Australia and New Zealand.

For more than 23 years, these awards have provided communities with the opportunity to formally recognise and thank outstanding teachers and leaders.

ASG is proud to continue its support for the teaching profession by acknowledging the valuable role inspirational teachers play in the development of our young people.

More than 35,500 teachers have been nominated by their communities across Australia and New Zealand since the awards started in 1994. ASG NEiTA started in 1996 in New Zealand. ASG NEiTA has distributed more than $1,000,000 in grants and prizes since the awards started 23 years ago.

Teachers can be nominated across early childhood, primary and secondary school categories.

International Space Camp

ASG has sponsored two Australian students to attend the International Space Camp at the US Space and Rocket Center in Alabama, USA, each year since 2009.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is open to Australian ASG students between 16 and 18 years of age.

We’ve sent many talented young students to represent Australia at this exclusive week-long camp, which offers the next best thing to being in space. Successful students will take part in various simulations, demonstrations, activities, and projects.
